Prioritizing Mental Health in Europe: A Growing Call to Action

As nearly half of Europeans report emotional or psychological struggles, the EU steps up with prevention programs and awareness initiatives — with key discussions unfolding at the EUCA launch event in Brussels.

Did you know that almost one out of two young Europeans experienced some emotional or psychological problem in the last years? Or that according to the Eurobarometer for Mental Health, 46% of Europeans have experienced some emotional or psychosocial issue?

The importance of taking action. in the Europeans’ mental health has been highlighted by the EU, making moves on the problem by implementing
prevention programs that broaden personal risk factors and social and climate-related determinants. Always looking forward to accomplishing the UN Sustainable Development Goals by promoting promising practices, initiatives, and training on mental health plus spreading awareness. initiatives will be discussed at the
Université libre de Bruxelles, where we will hold the inaugural event of the EU Centralised Actions Network from 24 to 25 April 2025.
